Hello!
Since I get an annoying "authentication failed" when trying to connect to my beloved chatrooms (do I need to repeat which ones? ), I'm writing this journal to suggest some tutorials I would have tried at the beginning if I knew they existed back then. (I'm not sure this is grammatically correct )
In the sense that there are no extra plugin to add and beginners can follow them quite easily (with a basic knowledge of Apophysis).
Oh, well, it's not that I've been making fractals for eons (I started in January 2012), but take this as an opinion.
To begin with, the tutorial I followed to make my first fractal:
is the Bipolar tutorial by Lucy--C.
I should make another bipolar fractal with this technique and see where I can get.
Let's start!
1) Painting a fractal, Part 1 by ChaosFissure
This is really simple, but you can reach great effects! With this tutorial, you can make some sort of starscape, sky, clouds and whatsoever.
The only variation involved is Linear, and that's amazing, isn't it?
(you can add some extra effects with other plugins, but it's not strictly necessary)
Some results:
2) Julian Set Outline Tutorial by ineedfire
This is for Apophysis 2.08, but it works perfectly even on Apophysis7x.15C (because the bipolar plugin is default in this version, didn't try with previous versions!).
And that's the only difficulty, since there are some features that are differently placed or named in these two versions. Other than that, I found it simple enough!
Some results:

3) Built-in Creativity by guagapunyaimel
Only built-in aka default variations!!! I mean, wow! This tells us that you don't need extra super outstanding plugins to make a very good looking and cool fractal! You can do that even with the minimum!
Some results:
Obviously, you have to make the fractal yours with variations, tranforms, camera settings and so on, but I think these three are a good starting point.
Stay tuned!

Temperature Blanket - February '24
February was very pink, meaning that the temperature was between 5°C and 14°C. I don't know how much that is in Fahrenheit. ^^; Meanwhile, I've read a grand total of 7 books this month (which for me is A LOT) and decided to put it at use and started a YT channel on book reviews. Mental health was struggling a bit, but I'm getting back on track...I think.
Temperature Blanket - January '24
In the past months, I resumed my crochet hobby to help cope with my mental health, which has been steadily degrading during the past two years. For those of you who don't know, I moved from Italy to Germany to live with my long-term partner. Living as an expat isn't easy. :saddummy: I've been struggling along the way because of work (I teach Italian and beginner-level German) and isolation in general. Lately, I'm trying to slow down with work and dedicate some time to things I enjoy. I began studying to obtain a PhD, I've joined a gym (my back looks jaaaaaacked), I've been digging true-crime videos, I've been reading and I've been crocheting. As resolution for 2024, I decided to create a temperature blanket. It's a year-long commitment: everyday, I crochet two lines of blanket, while changing the yarn according to the outside temperature. This is my first month of temperature blanket! I think my only mistake was to choose a yarn which is multicolor, but oh well. I hope it turns out
