Fractal Daily Deviations for the past week:
Go and show these deviants some love!
New flashmob for realz! :eager:An idea from tatasz!
The rules are really simple!
You have to paste the thumbs of 2 or 3 deviations of yours, that you posted around this date a year ago.
Then you tag 5 friends, and they shall do the same thing in their journals.
Let's see what comes out!
Today it's July 29th!
Here are my deviations. Since I didn't really post anything around that date, I'm picking the closest ones to that date.

Old deviantART username symbols scriptLittle history:
Some days ago I had Xyrus-02 at my house. I was checking his page to search something when I think I saw a little tick appearing sliiiiightly before the medal. So, after I told him, he went checking the code but couldn't find any reference to the tick. Back then, I really liked the tick. I have nothing in contrary with the medal...only tastes.
(btw, this thing happened today too and I was sober! )
He went back home and coded this thingy. We beta-tested it together and now it works fine. I know many people preferring the old symbols, so here's your chance!
Here it is...

Scraber Lights by Thenit
Fractaling Vol. 18(and yes, I'm abandoning that stupid gimmick of numbering my journal entries )
In early December 2012, the latest issue of Fractaling has been released.
After that date, the feature disappeared from the message centers of many deviants.
What happened to those journals is surrounded by awe and mystery.
Still nobody knows and nobody dares to ask. But now it's back.
Yeah, ok, I've been a bit discouraged and lazy. This doesn't mean I'm allowed to act like a sloth.
So, after almost 2 years, the 18th edition of Fractaling is out!
You might have noticed I've been through a fave rage. I've found some interesting stuff I'm presenting to you now.
It will be a bit different from the previous issues (if you remember how the others were ).
Relax on your couch/chair and enjoy some fractalsauce!
#207: I need a dental bridge now!Well! Seems like I got a tick medal next to my nickname! I'm kinda speechless, really.
Thank you guys, I'm still overly joyed for that! And I also want to congratulate with the other new seniors (especially with Eitvys200 and the other fellow fractalists lucid-light, KPEKEP and raysheaf), glad to share this day with them!
#206: Lazy ass.Ok, last time I posted a fractal was May 31st.
It's not even lack of inspiration actually...I really don't feel like opening Apophysis lately. So much stuff I prefer to do instead of that.
I will do something I think. Same stuff, you know...just to get on the tracks again.
Except this and study (my studies are never that great xD), everything else is super fine!
How are you guys?
Tips For Commission ArtistsHello! I thought of making this small guide, based from my personal experience, to give tips to artists, mostly beginners, to be more successful at selling commissions, since seeing from my previous journal many had difficulty with it. So here are some tips to help boosting your sales.
Have your commission info somewhere visible
Possibly, people won't even know you are taking commissions or if they are open if you don't put your commission info somewhere they can see. You can do this in a journal, that I mostly recommend, since it will be showing into your watcher's inboxes and most of your watchers probably rarely visit your profile page. You could still also use the commission widget, or donation poll to write your info. You can also link to your commission info in your signature or the artist's comment of new drawings you upload.
Keep it simple
Don't add too many unnecessary rules or in
Do's and don'ts for flawless interactionNot much to say about this.
Just some basic tips and tricks for flawless interaction on DeviantArt
Watch people when you honestly find them interesting.
Watch your friends, even if they don't have amazing art. It helps you stay updated with their progress.
Watch groups. They'll offer you a fine selection of art you're interested in, and will help you discover new (interesting) artists.
Check the faves of people you watch. As you like their work, you might have similar tastes in art. Checking their faves might help you find cool art.
Recommend art from people that you watch for a Daily Deviation (if good art, of course).
Uncheck all boxes when watching. There's nothing more disappointing than an empty watch.

White Knights and Why They're HarmfulThis is quite a huge/concerning topic, and I know that not all deviants share the same point of view, and I respect that. I'm sure that there are many other journals touching upon this subject, but because I personally have had very bad experiences with it, I want to inform my watchers about it myself! Hope it helps some.
So, for the past year or so I've noticed that some people saying that they specifically dislike a lot of "popular" dA artists due to the overprotective behavior of their watchers.
I personally find it very sad that people are turned off by my artwork simply because they associate my username with "[my] white knights".
There's no way I can possibly control what my fanbase does or says, and this can lead to some very awkward situations and conflicts on my end.
Don't get me wrong...I love each and every one of my watchers, in fact without you guys my artistic life would be incredibly more lackluster. I'm sure ma
5 ways to get into the creative zoneDear, deviantart fellow artists
Sometimes we tend to feel unmotivated and uninspired to do anything... but there are also those blissful moments of creativity, when inspiration strikes and time goes by unnoticed. Not getting distracted, going with the flow, so merged in the process, that there is no need to do anything else until the work gets done. But how to get in that mood more often..? Here are some ways/tips that helped me over the time.
1. Prepare your work space
Make the place you work as comfortable and useful as possible. Clean the desk from all the clutter, gather your tools in a most accessible way, organize in order to avoid mess. Set the according light, have some inspiring quotes, goals written around.
2. Avoid distractions
Turn off the internet. Or close all the tabs, you don’t need. Especially, social media sites. Don’t check the news/e-mail/mobile phone all the time. Get in the place where
Triggers, Triggers Everywhere"Trigger warning."
If you browse art on dA or Tumblr, you've probably seen these words before.
What exactly is a trigger?
Triggers come in multiple flavors.
Trauma triggersA person who has experienced a severe traumatic event—which isn't just limited to war veterans—may find that a particular sensory experience sends them back to that trauma. Although as camelopardalisinblue rightfully points out, it may not always be a full-scale flashback. Plenty of grey areas. Learn more about PTSD here.
I knew someone who had been abused in a room with fish-themed wallpaper. (Details changed to protect privacy.) So while something like the Jesus fish was tolerable because it was so abstract, they found real fish uncomfortable, and sudden exposure to a similar type of fish drawin

#133: Help the 100 Premium Memberships Project! Please, it will take only few minutes!
Maybe many of you don't know, but winehaus is gathering 63,600 points to donate 100 Premium Memberships on Christmas (like a dA Santa or something).
He needs almost 4000 points to reach his goal. You can make a donation, but if you have no points, he had another idea.
I can't tell you what is all about, but if you want to get involved, you should send him a note.
A "How can I help you with your project?" should be fine! He'll explain everything!
Really, if you regularly join dA, you can help him doing very few things. Please, help winehaus to reach his goal and make someone's Christmas day!
Thank you for your attention and have a nice day!
